Un altro dei primi pezzi su cui abbiamo lavorato assieme io e Giacomo Carlone. Il testo è un monologo
recitato da una ragazza di Milano, che diventando maggiorenne inizia a percepire tutto con un valore
diverso. Si svegliano le insicurezze, ci si accorge che la vita precedente era una semplice farsa, trascorsa a
rincorrere stereotipi da social media americani. La paura sta nel dover abbandonare il conforto che fino ad
allora i suoi sogni le avevano sempre dato. Si rende conto che il suo ragazzo e i suoi coetanei guardano
ancora i palazzi sperando che questa città possa essere una vera New York, e continuano a prometterle
quelle sensazioni, inconsapevoli dei limiti della realtà. La presa di coscienza è un crollo emotivo, e
quando arriva anche il brano muta e diventa frenetico.

SCHOOLGIRL
One of the first tracks me and Giacomo Carlone worked on together. The lyrics are a monologue sang by
a girl from Milan. As she comes of age she begins to perceive everything with a different value. She
realizes that the previous life was a simple farce, spent chasing stereotypes from American social media.
The fear lies in leaving the comfort that she has always found in dreams. She notices that her boyfriend
and her peers are still looking at buildings hoping this small city could be a real New York, and they keep
promising her those feelings, unaware of the limits of reality. Awareness is an emotional breakdown, and
when it arrives, the song changes and becomes frenetic.
